| The RH-300 Water Vapor Analyzer
Big results from small signals! Exceptional resolution, fast response Display in units of RH, dewpoint, water vapor density or WVP Accuracy 1% RH, 0.5°C dewpoint Convenient in-line sensor - Remote sensing version available

The Sable Systems RH-300 water vapor analyzer is a compact, flow-through meter that measures the relative humidity, dew point, water vapor pressure or water vapor density of an air stream pulled or pushed from a growth chamber, respirometry system, incubator, room, or other macro- or micro-environment in science or industry. It has analog outputs, built-in calibration and diagnostics, and direct data-logging capability into any computer. A spectrum of applications: De-pending on your flow configuration, this one instrument can provide accurate water loss readings for many applications: - process control
- biological and medical research
- stored product management
- entomology
- veterinary science
- general industrial R&D
RESOLUTION. The resolution and ease of use of the RH-300 are unparalleled. From process streams, to single fruit flies (see graph) through mice, rats, squirrels, and dogs to elephants. ACCURACY. The standard for accuracy (as opposed to resolution) in water vapor measurement is still the chilled-mirror dew point analyzer. With suitable calibration, the accuracy of the RH-300 is approaches that of such high-quality analyzers. Additional plusses: RH-300 requires very little warm-up time, consumes less than a watt of power, and has no moving parts or delicate, contamination-prone chilled mirrors. Non-gravimetric determination of water loss rate is easily within reach, especially if the RH-300 is used in its water vapor density mode just multiply the reading by flow rate, and you get water loss rate. confidence. The graph above is worth notice. It is a real time reading of skin conductance conducted on a human volunteer using a 5 cm2 flow-through skin chamber. On the forehead trace you can see individual sweat secretion events. Versatility. The flow through design gives the RH-300 greater versatility than a conventional probe-type humidity meter. Flow rates can be as low as 5 ml/min or as high as 2000 ml/min, at any ambient temperature from 0 to 60 °C. OPTION! The RH-300RS. Available with a remore flow-through sensor head instead of its interior sensor. The sensor head is approximately 2x3x1” (5x8x3 cm) and can be supplied with up to 20 meters (60 feet) of cable. EASE of use. Calibration is quick and easy, using nitrogen or dried air and a fixed humidity source for a two-point calibration - which is all you need, because of the RH-300’s almost perfect linearity, as you can see from the graph on the right, is better than 99.9% over the full scale of the instrument.
