A directly connected WeatherHawk weather station communicates using the RS-232 protocol. For cable lengths over 100 feet (34 meters), and up to 5000 feet (1534 meters) an RS-485 communications interface kit is available. A Wireless WeatherHawk personal weather station can support one of three different radio frequencies: 916 MHz, 922 MHz, or 2.4 GHz.
