2D flow, discharge, and level measurements
Easily installed on a riverbank, bridge abutment, or other vertical structure, the SonTek/YSI Argonaut-SL (Side-Looking) current meter is an advanced Doppler sonar for precise water velocity flow measurement. Robust, all-digital signal processing ensures reliable data collection within a user-programmable velocity cell extending from 0.2 m (3.0-MHz systems) up to 22 m (1.5-MHz systems). Flow disturbances caused by the mounting structure can be eliminated by beginning the measurement cell several meters away from the instrument. You can also use the multi-cell current profiling feature to interpret data in up to 10 additional cells. The Argonaut-SL never requires calibration, and velocity accuracy is not affected by biological growth.
